UKCPR co-organized the conference "Deep Poverty in the United States" with the University of Wisconsin Institute for Research on Poverty and the Urban Institute, on June 27-28, 2017, at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Washington, DC. The conference identified those in deep poverty and the issues they face. The conference allowed researchers and practitioners interested in poverty issues to form connections and identify opportunities and implications for policy, practice, and research.
